TAMARAMA BEACH HOUSE
Tamarama, Sydney Australia
A five level residence overlooking Tamarama Beach, situated on a narrow steep site facing south. Internal rooms and spaces are arranged to one side of a continuous series of straight stair flights. The sandstone base of the house forms a plinth upon which the lighter steel framed and colorbond standing seam clad upper house is perched.
The upper floor consists of living areas with a series of sawtooth roof forms which let in northern sun and daylight. This floor opens to a timber deck balcony over looking the beach and a larger timber deck with BBQ area and garden to the northern side. The mid level consists of bedrooms, while the lower levels at the front are used for study/guest accommodation and entertainment.

WHALE BEACH HOUSE
Whale Beach, Sydney Australia
A 3 level residence which has magnificent north views towards Whale Beach. The steeply sloping site is entered from the top via a private road at the rear. From within the house, the ocean view opens up upon descent through the three rectilinear, diagonally offset pavilions.
The pavilions are linked via a main circulation stair, which continues through to the garden at the lower level. The upper pavilion contains a separate owners’ retreat. The middle pavilion houses living, kitchen and dining areas. The lower pavilion houses bedrooms, bathrooms and entertainment areas and a deck which opens to a lap pool. Northern glazed walls open to generous terraces clad in weathered hardwood. The stair and floor are clad in stone.
